intro

hi, my name is tara and in nine days my husband and i are taking our dog and as many of our possessions as we can fit in our car and moving 1500 miles north to rhode island.

first, a little backstory: I'm originally from rhode island, I lived there the first fourteen years of my life then my family moved to royal palm beach, florida where I have resided for the past ten years. I have been married for almost two years now and my husband, dan, and our dog, ziva, have been a happy little family. however, dan and I were both feeling that we were lacking any forward motion in life. we had gone from living with our parents, then with room mates, to currently renting a room from my very generous uncle. we realized we needed to spread our wings and try to fly (without a safety net this time) and if that meant jumping on an opportunity for us to have our own apartment in rhode island, well, we were game.

so now we are nine days away from embarking on this huge endeavor and in typical tara fashion, I've barely begun to pack...

There is so much to do and so little time to do it. I guess that's what happens when you plan a cross country move on the fly but I'm ready to take it on. it's going to be an awfully big adventure.
